Hey yoh! what's popping everyone, its your girl hauwa ms with an exciting content today. I went on a trip with my friends to Istanbul last week and we had so much fun. Initially, we were four girls, however the other one got off from the plane for some obvious reasons. So we spent three days at Istanbul because I had a seminar to attend at school but we wished we stayed longer than that because when I got back here, my timetable changed and my seminar day was postponed to two days later (funny and frustrating). I have always heard of "Istanbul" from either friends or families which made me more tastier to pay a visit to Istanbul. Before reaching Istanbul, we made an itinerary and luckily we were able to visit ∼86% of the places we wanted to, since we had like 16 places to visit. I will be mentioning the places I enjoyed most. So, on Friday, we went to Taksim Square; where we were able to see lots of shops and had our little breakfast. Secondly, we visited Karakoy; Karaköy is situated right in front of the old town, near the Galata Bridge and down the famous Tower. It covers a section from the banks of the Golden Horn to the Bosphorus. It is loaded with beautiful street arts, umbrella street in which we snapped lots of pictures.
The next one was Sultanhamet; Sultan Ahmed mosque is a famous and historic mosque. The site is mostly for tourists to come over and enjoy the view of the mosque. It is also called "The Blue Mosque".
Afterwards, we visited Hagia Sofia; (We got one roasted corn and two cooked corns to enjoy the site and the journey more). This was when I started enjoying Istanbul *_*, this place is filled with history, its such a beautiful place that I couldn't get enough of. It was basically a mosque that was later turned into a museum with full of historical arts.
We next went to Grand Bazaar; Grand bazaar is just a place like a market, they sell lots of golds, jewelleries, the evil beads, there are also little shops where they make you wear the Turkish costumes and take picture, we did that as well but it turned out to look super horrible. We were told Grand Bazaar has 4000 shops, teahouses, restaurants along with inns and mosques. Then we went on the CRUISE! I literally have no idea how to explain how I enjoyed that cruise thing. I have a lot of pictures and videos from the cruise but I can not upload all because ya'll will get bored -︿-. It was at night, the ship is straddling both Asia and Europe, we were treated with 10 different dances from different sectors of turkey and offered delicious foods (much more).
On Saturday, we couldn't visit to Istiklal street, Miniaturk, and tickets to Dialogue in the dark sold out. However, we were able to visit Galata Tower, Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, Emaar mall, HUQQA, ISTANBUL SAPHIRE and NUSR ET! *_*. I don't know how I lost my food pictures from Huqqa -︿-.
These are photos from NUSR ET (SALT BAE). Their meat is super delicious.
Istanbul Saphire is the 4th tallest building in Europe, guy you can't imagine how scared I was at the last floor; I think the last floor is 53 or 54th [everyone was laughing at me].
So yeah, it was such a great experience and Istanbul is a very beautiful city.
