Depression can be tremendously intimidating. Suicide has become a normal act for students, youths and adults as well. It is normal to feel depressed; you have to come across this path in life. Being depressed and having a little bit of experience can let you know what it exactly feels like. Lets dive into this, feeling stressed is an emotion that comes with extreme fatigue, tension, pain etc. Most people suffer from anxiety disorder yet it has been reported as highly treatable. Some individuals are actually afraid to speak out on what is worrying them thinking they are going to be looked as weak and chucklesome. However, what causes this issue? this situation can come from school, home, yourself. Whats the consequences if care is not taken? suicide! lack of confidence, decrease in self esteem and other negative impacts.
Do you know that by just saying "Hey, are you alright?" to a friend/anyone else can lessen their anxiety? They get this feeling of "finally, someone is ready to share what & how I'm bearing". Likewise things you should never say to a depressed person:
"Oh no you are still young"
"You are even lucky"
"Oh no you're healthy enough"
"Why are you even depressed"
"This is a minor issue"
C'mon, this person has come to you with great difficulty to tell you what's going on in his/her life, don't you think you are being honoured? ❲I'm saying all of this based on personal experience❳. Rather encourage them, help them if you can, if you can't just talk to them, let them know "its totally fine to feel that way and you are always with you".
Yes I feel depressed and you also feel depressed. When we feel depressed we need someone to talk to, we need someone to speak with, we need some one to listen to us, we need someone to hear us out, we need someone to notice that we are suffering internally, we are craving for attention, we are crying and broken on the inside. We need a friend, we need a family. Why can't you be the person someone needs? especially if that person already told you what's going on in their lives. No-one is ever too young, healthy, wealthy, lucky, to be under depression and we all have different issues to worry about which makes it no issue to be minor. Why do some rich people, celebrities, young, healthy people commit suicides? it means depression doesn't know any of these.
How to deal with this particular scenario?
When in depression, suicide should never be an option no matter what. First option is to PRAY about it & secondly, I strongly advise to talk to someone you trust, believe me it works. I can fully understand that telling someone else can be tough sometimes but think about it, is it worth giving your life up by yourself? Are you fair to yourself? Cry as much as you want, its okay, its totally fine. Remove suicidal thoughts, face your fears, seek help, get to see a therapist, do something about it & try to get over it. Do you think you are the only one with problems, you think other people have less problems than you? My sister/brother, someone's problem is far worse than yours; everyone have their own issues they are dealing with. We are never burdened with something we can not bear. Life goes on! Trust me, after going through all of these and you get out successfully, you will discover that you are much more stronger after defeating this difficult situation, more confident than before, more positive than before, more fulfilling than before, you will also gain more strength than before. Suicide or hurting yourself should never be your last option..
Take care of yourself,
Much love,
Bless you all,
